Jem Posters


Almost all Jem dolls, & most fashions, playsets & watches came with posters. While it can vary somewhat, posters are generally traceable to a specific box or doll by looking at the H number and copyright information. Some are obvious, such as a Dutch-language poster belongs to a Dutch-language or Belgian box. Others aren't quite as easy but this page should help.
Some interesting trivia.
  • Among posters that came packed with the merchandise, the 1st year catalogue poster (with black lettering) appears to be the most common, the Misfits Illustrated poster the hardest to find - most Misfit dolls didn't even come with one!
  • The texture and colouring can vary between the posters - Canadian ones tend to be very saturated and dark, most European ones come on matte-r (and easily crinkle-able) paper.
  • I have yet to see any catalogue posters (either year) with a blank back.
  • I have yet to see a Glitter 'n Gold fashion with a poster.
  • Posters folded in half are usually from playsets, rolled are from dolls, two fold posters are from fashions and 3-fold posters from Rock 'n Curl Jem, The Starlight Girls, Watches, and sometimes Glitter 'n Gold Jem.
Disclaimer: This is a listing of posters that came with my own dolls and a few fashions, I have yet (as of December 2011) to venture completely into the playsets, watches and other Hasbro merchandise. It should be noted I don't own every single doll in every single box so this page is meant as a guide only! Due to the difficulty of scanning posters, many here have been modified with only the various logo/bottom left & right info, rather than scanning the entire poster each time. In almost all cases, I own the poster I am recreating and am doing so with attention to the details noted. By "could also come with", I mean it's possible, I don't know for certain!
Most posters are designated somewhere with an "H" number like this H-32 poster left.
