The photo used in both the first year Jem catalogue poster and the 1986
Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue shows the outfit with a shiny purple
belt with sparkly gold "J" on it the boa is quite a bit darker. The
same photo (reversed :) is also shown in the fall issue of Doll Stars
Magazine.
# Another photo used in the 1986 German Leaflet,
(same photo appears in an issue of Topolino, and again in the 1986
Belgium catalogue): shows the belt to be incorporated into the outfit
(not a separate piece) & shiny, with no boa, and lighter shoes.
# First Year Package Art illustration looks pretty much exactly like what was produced .

The same photo (see left) is used for the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair
Catalogue, the 1987 France/UK Toy Fair Catalogue, the Second Year Jem
Catalogue Poster and the Second Year package art, and it looks pretty
much exactly like what was produced.

featured in the Rockin' Roadster commercial. It may be in other
